The closer I get to the earth, the closer I am to my own body - my personal plot of dirt. The landscape we live in informs our mythos, which in turn informs our identity. I am mountain, I am prairie, I am pine trees and creeks. I am snow and hard sunlight. I am raven, deer, coyote, owl, bear, and fox. I am willow and sloping hills covered in long grass. I am fog dripping off trees and thunder clouds. I am dandelion and yarrow and sweet clover on the side of dirt roads. I am of this land, and this is my dirt worship.
